Role Overview
This is a foundational role responsible for launching and scaling Anthropic’s enterprise sales motion across India’s key industries. The role involves developing enterprise AI adoption strategies, managing complex sales cycles, and building strategic relationships with large Indian organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Strategy
Establish Anthropic’s presence across key industries such as BFSI, Manufacturing, IT/ITES, Retail, Telecom, Pharma, and Energy
Develop industry-specific GTM strategies aligned with regulatory and compliance requirements
Build relationships with CXOs and digital transformation leaders
Enterprise Revenue Growth
Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to deployment
Secure high-value strategic enterprise deals
Expand lighthouse accounts to create industry references
Complex Enterprise Deal Management
Navigate procurement processes across large enterprises
Structure multi-year agreements and phased deployment contracts
Work with system integrators and consulting partners influencing technology decisions
Solution Innovation & Customer Success
Collaborate with enterprises to develop AI use cases tailored to Indian markets
Support proof-of-concept deployments and enterprise-wide scaling
Align AI adoption with Digital India and industry modernization initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with global product teams to prioritize India-specific features
Work with legal and compliance teams on regulatory considerations
Provide market intelligence on enterprise technology adoption trends
Required Qualifications
8–10+ years of enterprise sales experience in India
Proven ability to close large, complex technology deals
Experience selling cloud, AI, or digital transformation solutions
Strong relationships with senior leaders across Indian enterprises
Preferred Profile
Experience working with large Indian conglomerates (e.g., Tata, Reliance, Mahindra, Aditya Birla)
Partnerships with system integrators like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, or HCL
Experience launching new technology offerings in India
Understanding of Indian regulatory frameworks and data protection laws
